Dental implants

Dental implants are based on the replacement of missing teeth with implants surgically placed. Implants are titanium screws which are placed in the bone to replace missing teeth.

Teeth are a fundamental part of our image as teeth care, clean and a nice smile denote cleanliness, youth and provide us the relationship with our environment.

The loss of teeth and lack of replacement thereof may cause a series of changes: loss of balance in the position and strength of the masticatory apparatus, temporomandibular joint pain, pain at the level of the cervico-facial muscles and headaches pathological movements of neighboring teeth.

The process involves placing dental implants into the maxillary or mandibular bone. The use of local anesthesia techniques associated with sedation guarantee the absence of pain or discomfort throughout the procedure. Once the surgery is completed implants may be coated gum for a while in order to allow full osseointegration in the bone.

It is important to care for the treatment to be durable. Oral hygiene must be very rigorous and must go to the revisions instructed to monitor the status of implants and prostheses.
